Dear Valued Clients,
In order to serve all of our Clients better (with higher quality products, with faster turnaround time, and the ability to expand what we are capable of in the future) we will be undergoing some renovations and upgrading a few essential machines. This will have the unfortunate (but necessary) effect of slowing down our production for a short time. We anticipate in late November into early December there will be a 2-3 week period where certain functions in our facility may stop or be slowed significantly. The accuracy of this time line is contingent on timely delivery of equipment. We plan to alter our work flow in order to help minimize the effects of this event but some of our production lines will experience longer than normal lead times until we come back to full-capacity.
All products made in-shop will be affected with lengthened lead-times. Engineered doors and associated products will not be affected by this event. If you have any questions or concerns about how this will affect your project that is in-process or a project that you are considering, feel free to reach out and speak with one of our sales associates.
Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. We consider it a privilege and an honor to serve our Clients and we are actively seeking ways to better serve them moving forward.
The Scherr’s Team
A high-dive into Waterborne Finishes…
Here at Scherr's, we've always sought to strike the right balance between following traditions or technology. When one path clearly protects the health and safety of our Customers and Employees, not to mention the Environment as a whole—the choice to be made is clear. Breakthroughs in paint chemistry have paved a way toward safer applied chemical coatings. While the decision may have been easy, implementation has been a worthwhile challenge, long in the making.
We're proud to say that starting October 1st, 2020 ALL paint and clear finishes applied to products produced in-shop will be done so with our new waterborne paint system. Sherwin Williams' Sayerlack Hydroplus is low in VOC's, low in VHAP's, and is UL Greenguard Gold Certified for low chemical emissions, a finish that is qualified to be used in LEED certified construction projects. The problem of off-gassing in your home well after you receive your cabinet parts is drastically improved and our Employees benefit from a much safer work environment.
